Ok, this is just sick. After a woman rejected him on the dance floor, a man followed her into the bathroom of the bar and beat her senseless. Police didn't even know what happened until hours later when she woke up in the hospital.

Minutes later, the man burst through a stall door and began savagely attacking the woman, beating her as he tried to remove her pants, the police said. She fought back, and was able to avoid being sexually assaulted -- but not before the man broke her nose and one of her eye sockets, leaving her unconscious and sprawled in a pool of blood.

At 2:17 a.m., a police video camera perched on a lamppost outside the bar captured images of a man wearing a blue shirt -- it had short sleeves and was worn over a long-sleeve gray shirt -- and blue jeans as he left the bar, on the west side of Eighth Avenue between 48th and 49th Streets, the police said.
